Diana Bychkova
Calligraphy artist from Milan, Italy. Participant of the project, dedicated to the 150th birth anniversary of a great Georgian poet and writer Vazha Pshavela (2011).
Was born in 1979 in Kherson. She graduated from the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture in Kiev: Book Graphic Department and competed a postgraduate program at the academy. She is designer, author and artist-illustrator of numbers of book projects for children and for adult.
Diana have realized high-quality products and offered services for private clients. Computer work: illustrations, advertisement, 2D graphic, logos, graphic design, layouts for books and catalogs. And hand work: illustrations, project of art books, hand printing of etchings and engravings, publications of limited edition, calligraphy, bindings, ex-libris etc.
In 2008 she launched her graphic studio DS Art in Milan and created, completed and published a limited edition art book “Silence”, with calligraphy, etchings and hand made binding. A copy of the book has been displayed in the Museum of Printing in Lodi, Italy. Some of the pages from the “Silence” book have been published in the historical journal of graphics and art Grafica d’Arte, edited by Paolo Bellini. The book won a prix at the International Competition Book of Art Robert Beltz, Soultz (France). A copy of the book has been displayed in the Museum of Calligraphy in Moscow, Russia.
Participated in the Festival of Art Book “USE A BOOK”, Barcelona, Spain. Personal exhibition at the Slave Association “Polski Kot”, Torino, Italy. Participated in the International Festival of Calligraphy, Velikiy Novgorod, Russia.
In the period 2004 - 2011 participated in 14 exhibitions in Italy, Russia, Bulgaria, France, Turkey and Japan.
